Talk 5: “Lloyd’s and the London Market – with a hint of The City’s History”
Date & time: Monday 3rd October 2016, 9am – 10am (Registration opens at 8.45 a.m.)
Summary: Peter, who has decades of experience working in the City as a Lloyd’s Broker, will start his presentation by explaining how the City of London’s unique structure has evolved from Roman times to today – some things are a great deal older than you may realise.
He will then give his own personal take on Lloyd’s, its past and some of the major problems that it has overcome, its present structure and operation, finishing with a look into the future.
This will be an excellent session for anyone working with clients operating in the Insurance/Reinsurance area or anyone seeking background to one of the major financial centres of the world.
Open to trainees, paralegals and pupil barristers only.
