Oliver Caplin
In addition to a broad commercial practice, Oliver acts in both marine and non-marine insurance disputes in Court and arbitration, both led and un-led. His previous career as a medical doctor means he particularly enjoys insurance disputes in the bio-tech, pharma and medical devices industries, or anything with a scientific or technical backbone to it. He has a special interest in private international law, and regularly advises on jurisdiction issues in the context of insurance litigation and arbitration. He also has experience of brokers’ negligence claims. Oliver is a co-author of the new fourth edition of Michael Miller’s “Marine War Risks”, which is to be published in late 2018.
