BILA and UK-based lawyers were well represented at the 10th AIDA Europe Conference (“The Growing Challenge of Meeting Customer Needs. Quo Vadis, Insurance Market?”) in Athens from 30th to 31st May 2024.
Plenary sessions and AIDA Working Party meetings engaged 225 delegates from over 30 countries and featured BILA committee members, Dr Franziska Arnold-Dwyer, Prof. Özlem Gürses and Tim Hardy among the moderators, presenters and panellists. Other UK-based presenters included Dr Kyriaki Noussia of Reading University, Dr Konstantinos Chalkias of Birkbeck University of London, Michelle George and Adrian Mecz of Norton Rose Fulbright and Richard Sarll of 7KBW. The BILA Charitable Trust and Mishcon de Reya were among the valued sponsors.
BILA is delighted to congratulate Tim Hardy (L). At the Conference Drinks Reception on the rooftop of the Athens Club, Tim was presented with the AIDA Medal by AIDA World President, Carlos Estebenet (R), for his contribution to AIDA in many roles, including currently AIDA Europe Co-Chair and as Chair of the Climate & Catastrophic Events Working Party, from which he stood down in Athens after 25 successive meetings over a period of thirteen years. Many congratulations indeed, Tim!
